LSPD Awards for Bravery

Medal of Valor

The Los Santos Police Department's Medal of Valor is the highest law enforcement medal awarded to officers by the Los Santos Police Department. The Medal of Valor is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of extraordinary bravery or heroism performed in the line of duty at extreme and life-threatening personal risk.

Liberty Award

The Liberty Award is a bravery medal where the police partner was killed and he was seriously injured in the line of duty.

Police Medal

The Police Medal is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of heroism in the line of duty, though not above and beyond the call of duty, as is required for the Medal of Valor.

Police Star

The Police Star is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for performing with exceptional judgment and/or utilizing skillful tactics in order to defuse dangerous and stressful situations.

Life-Saving Award

The Police Life-Saving Medal is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for taking action in order to rescue or attempt the rescue of either a fellow officer or any person from imminent danger.

Commissioner's Distinguished Skill and Service Award

The Los Santos Police Department's Commissioner's Distinguished Skill and Service Award is the highest form of recognition an officer can receive from the Commissioner's Office. The award is usually awarded to officers who demonstrate extraordinary bravery or heroism in the field, or extraordinary skill in individual acts.

Command Distinguished Service Award

The Los Santos Police Command Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon command team members for continual determination and success after serving in the command team for a prolonged period of time.

Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon Officers who distinguish themselves by exceptionally meritorious service to the City of Los Santos in a duty of great responsibility. To justify this decoration, exceptional performance of duty must be clearly above what is normally expected and contributes to the success of a major command or project.

Meritorious Service Award

The Meritorious Service Medal is bestowed upon Officers who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity with the Los Santos Police Department. Qualifying service for the award of the medal can be for distinctive meritorious achievement and service, acts of courage involving no voluntary risk of life, or sustained meritorious performance of duty.

Meritorious Leadership

The Meritorious Leadership Medal is bestowed upon Officers who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity with the Los Santos Police Department in the leadership of other Los Santos Police Officers. Meritorious service or achievement in either dangerous & stressful field situations or administrative non-field situations based on sustained performance or specific achievement of a superlative nature.

Community Policing Award

The Community Policing Medal is bestowed upon Officers who continuously show "honorable and faithful service" to the City of Los Santos. Such service implies the officer distinguishes himself/herself from among his/her fellow officers by their exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity.

Public Service Award

The Los Santos Police Public Service Medal is bestowed upon Officers that perform a great public service.

Purple Heart

The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the department who are significantly injured or killed on duty.

Officer of the Month

The Officer of the Month Award is bestowed upon an exemplary Officer selected by the Police Supervisors and Command Staff of the Los Santos Police Department each month.

Supervisor of the Month

The Supervisor of the Month Award is bestowed upon an exemplary Supervisor selected by the Police Officers and Command Staff of the Los Santos Police Department periodically.

Staff Officer Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a Staff Officer in the Los Santos Police Department.

Command Officer Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a Command Officer in the Los Santos Police Department.

Supervisor Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a member of the Supervisory Staff after having successfully passed their Sergeant Training Program.

Detective Ribbon

Awarded to those who have become a member of the Detective Team after having successfully passed their Detective Training Program.

Detective Recognition Award

Awarded to those who show exemplary conduct whilst performing divisional duties for the Investigations Bureau.

Exemplerary Field Training Officer Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with the Field Training Program, consistently keeping up with offcers who require their training and doing so at a very high standard.

Field Training Officer Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a Field Training Officer and conducted a total of 20 field training sessions.

Completion of Field Training Award

This ribbon is handed out to those who have successfully passed their Field Training Program and have been inducted as a Police Officer.

Administration Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with administrative work in the Department, either with optional paperwork or divisional paperwork.

Internal Affairs Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Internal Affairs Division for a total of 2 months.

Media Relations Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with the Media Relations Division, helping organize events and consistently assisting with any of the roles required within the division.

Media Relations Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Media Relations Division for a total of 2 months.

Exemplary Instructor Commendation Award

Awarded to those who have shown exemplary effort with either the Academy or Advanced Training Division, consistently ensuring the smooth transition of all the officers involved.

Awarded to those who have served as an Instructor in the Training Division for a total of 2 months.

Advanced Police Training Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as an Instructor in the Advanced Training Division for a total of 2 months and have contributed toward 10 group sessions.

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Human Resources Division for a total of 2 months.

Firearms and Licensing Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as an Firearms Officer in the Firearms and Licensing Division for a total of 2 months.

Recruitment and Employment Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Recruitment and Employment Division for a total of 2 months.

Awarded to those who has served as a member of the Major Crimes Division's Vice Unit for a total of 3 months.

Vice Veteran Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Major Crimes Division's Vice Unit for a total of 6 months, during which the Officer has shown a consistent effort made to the unit.

Vice Commendation Ribbon

Awarded to those who have shown continuous commitment to the Major Crimes Division's Vice Unit over prolonged periods of time, during which the Officer has shown great effort towards the unit.

Robbery-Homicide Ribbon

Awarded to those who has served as a member of the Major Crimes Division's Robbery-Homicide Unit for a total of 3 months.

Robbery-Homicide Veteran Ribbon

Awarded to those who have served as a member of the Major Crimes Division's Robbery-Homicide Unit for a total of 6 months, during which the Officer has shown a consistent effort made to the unit.

Awarded to those who have shown continuous commitment to the Major Crimes Division's Robbery-Homicide Unit over prolonged periods of time, during which the Officer has shown great effort towards the unit.

Awarded by the warden to an employee of LSPD/LSSD/LSEMS who have gone above and beyond in assisting SADOC.

Warden's Medal of Honor

The highest possible honor a correctional officer can acquire. This ribbon is given to an officer of the Department of Corrections who has gone above and beyond in the line of duty and put others' needs before their own.

Sheriff's Medal of Honour

The Sheriff's Medal of Honour is awarded by the Sheriff himself to Deputies for their actions and deeds that go beyond the call of duty to preserve the lives of deputies and civilians, putting others and their needs before themselves.

Medal of Valor

The Medal of Valor is awarded to Sheriff's Deputies which have portrayed meritious acts of bravery during their service. It is awarded by the Sheriff.

Awarded by Executive Staff to Deputies which have excelled at their service or task.

The Judicial Award of Excellence is the highest form of recognition awarded to officials by the Chief Justice of San Andreas. This award is given to officials who have demonstrated great dedication and effort to the branch and have gone above and beyond their duties and tasks.

The Government Award of Excellence is the highest form of recognition awarded to officials by a Director of the San Andreas State Government. This award is given to officials who have demonstrated great dedication and effort to their bureau(s) and have gone above and beyond their duties and tasks.
